The stitches/ skills you will need to know and KEY:

Single crochet (sc)

Weave ends and finish off.
CROCHET PATTERN
Mitten:
With 4 medium weight yarn and a 6.5mm crochet hook
Round 1: Work 6 sc into ring – 6 sts. Do not join, continue in a spiral.
Round 2: (2 sc) in each st —12 sts
Round 3: [(2 sc) in next sc, sc in next sc]— 18 sts
Round 4- 15: evenly sc around (18 sts)
Cut and leave a long tail
Thumb:
Round 1: Work 8 sc into ring – 8 sts. Do not join, continue in a spiral.
Round 2-8: sc evenly around (8 sts)
Finish off and leave a long tail for sewing.
Sew two stitches of the thumb from row 8 of the thumb to the 8th and 9th stitch away from where you ended off on the mitten. Go through each stitch two times with a tapestry needle and then make a knot to finish off. Weave ends.
Mitten:
Rejoin to the mitten by tying a knot to the tail from the mitten. Cut the ends short.
Round 16: Sc evenly around including six stitches of the thumb (22 sts)
Round 17: Sc in the first 10 stitches, dec the next two stitches together, sc in the next 8 stitches, dec the next two stitches together (20 sts)
Round 18: evenly sc around (20 sts)
Round 19: sc in the first 9 stitches, dec, sc in the next 8 stitches, dec (18 sts)
Round 20-21: evenly sc around (18 sts)
Finish off and weave ends.
Fur Cuff:
With faux fur yarn and a 6.5mm crochet hook chain 6
Row 1: hdc in the third chain from the hook, hdc in the rest of the chains (4 hdc) chain 2 and turn
Row 2-? (you’ll want to keep going until you reach approximately 7.5 or 8 inches in length). Finish off and leave a long tail for sewing.
Sew the initial chain to the last row then sew the cuff to the bottom of the mitten.
Finish off and weave ends.
