With desired pie flavor color, make a magic loop.

Round 1: Work 5 sc into ring – 5 sts. Do not join, continue in a spiral.

Round 2: (2 sc) in each st —10 sts
Round 3: [(2 sc) in next sc, sc in next sc]— 15 sts
Round 4: [(2 sc) in next sc, sc in next 2 sc]— 20 sts
Round 5: [(2 sc) in next sc, sc in next 3 sc]— 25 sts
Round 6: [(2 sc) in next sc, sc in next 4 sc]— 30 sts
Round 7: [(2 sc) in next sc, sc in next 5 sc]— 35 sts
Round 8: [(2 sc) in next sc, sc in next 6 sc]— 40 sts
Round 9: [(2 sc) in next sc, sc in next 7 sc]— 45 sts
Round 10: [(2 sc) in next sc, sc in next 8 sc] — 50 sts
Round 11: [(2 sc) in next sc, sc in next 9 sc]— 55 sts

Round 12: [(2 sc) in next sc, sc in next 10 sc]— 60 sts
Round 13: [(2 sc) in next sc, sc in next 11 sc]— 65 sts
Round 14: [(2 sc) in next sc, sc in next 12 sc]— 70 sts
Round 15: [(2 sc) in next sc, sc in next 13 sc]— 75 sts
Round 16: [(2 sc) in next sc, sc in next 14 sc]— 80 sts

You can adjust the size of this to fit your container just keep measuring the work and make it big enough to it hits the inside edge of the top of the container.

Round 17: switch over to the crust color and sc evenly around the circle (80 sts)

Round 18: chain 3, make 5 triple crochet in each stitch going all the way around (400 sts)

Attach to the chain 3 with a sl st. Finish off and weave ends.

Hot glue this piece to the lid of container and put either scrap yarn or fiber fill in between the pie and the lid to puff up the pie a little.

Cross cross crust top:

Make 2 long pieces, 4 mid pieces and 4 short pieces

Long piece: with crust and 5mm crochet hook, chain 26, dc in the third chain from the hook, dc across (24 dc)

Mid piece: with crust and 5mm crochet hook, chain 22, dc in the third chain from the hook, dc across (20 dc)

Short piece:  with crust and 5mm crochet hook, chain 14, dc in the third chain from the hook, dc across (12 dc)

Glue these piece to the pie top. Long pieces in the center and short pieces toward the outside. Keep criss crossing the pieces as you glue.

Pumpin Pie Whipped Cream:

Chain  , hdc in the third chain from the hook, 3 hdc in each stitch going all the way across. Finish off and weave ends. Pile up the chain to look like whipped cream and then glue it to the top of the pie.

Pie Bottom:

With crust color and a 5mm crochet hook, chain 12

Row 1: hdc in the third chain from the hook, hdc across (10 hdc)

Row 2-?:hdc across.

You’ll want to measure the measure the size of your container and keep crocheting rows of hdc until you can fit around the whole bottom part of the container. Hot glue this piece to the container.
