Last week I took a lovely vacation to Florida! It was such a treat to get away from cold and rainy New York. The weather was sunny and 80 the entire trip. We enjoyed lounging on the beach, swimming in the pool, biking all over, paddle boarding, spotting dolphins and eating all out meals outdoors with ocean views!
While I was there I was busy taking pictures of my upcoming patterns and kits! What I am sharing is neither lol
But I loved this little project so I have to share! For my trip I bought a wide brimmed hat from Target (similar here). I loved it but I immediately had the idea to add some color to it by crocheting a band around the center. I used Shiny Happy Cotton from Wool and The Gang linked here and a 4mm crochet hook.
I made a chain of 5, sc in the second chain from the hook, sc across (4 sc)
I made six rows of each color and kept sizing it until it fit. I then sc the last two rows together.
It was so simple and I loved how it came out!
Also, how cute is that tote bag! It’s from Lion Brand and its only $10, linked HERE
Stay tuned for my new unicorn float pattern and new earring kits!!
