CROCHET PATTERN
Door
With two strands of yarn on a 6.5mm crochet hook, chain 12, 1 sc in the second chain from the hook, sc in the rest of the chains. (11 sc)
Row 2-21 : 11 sc across. Finish off and weave ends.
Door Paneling
With one strand of yarn on a 5mm hook, *chain 13, 1 sl st in the second chain from the hook, chain 5, 1 slip stitch in the second chain from the hook.*
Repeat from * – *. Slip stitch into the first chain that you made. Finish off and weave ends.
MAKE 2. These will be the two vertical rectangle panels on the top portion of the door.
The horizontal rectangles on the bottom are the same except you will *chain 13, 1 sl st in the second chain from the hook, THEN chain 4, sl st into the second chain from the hook.* Repeat from *-*. Sl st into the first chain and finish off/ weave ends.
MAKE 2
Assemble the door by placing the two vertical panels at the top row and leaving a chain two space in between the panels.
Leave a row of space to sew a french knot as the door knob by using white yarn and a tapestry needle.
To make a french knot:
Make a knot at one end, needle on the other
Insert the needle from the back of the work to the front pull all the way through until the knot stops, wrap the yarn around the needle twice, insert the needle right next to the spot that it is being pulled up from the door and carefully pull through to the back.
Place the two horizontal panels below the door knob. Use the picture for reference.
The Wreath
With brown and a 5mm crochet hook. Chain 23
*Sc in the second chain from the hook, 2 sc in the next chain.*
Repeat from *—* all the way across the chain. It will naturally form a circle. You will then slip stitch to the beginning, finish off and weave ends.
With a long strand of green yarn and a tapestry needle, sew V shapes all around the circle.
With whatever flower color you want and a tapestry needle sew french knots at the bottom peak of each V that you made. Then add more french knots throughout to make it look full of flowers.
Sew the wreath to the center top portion of the door.
Make this door a cute wall decoration by attaching yarn or rope to the top. You can also attach it to card stock to make a card for a loved on OR glue felt to the back leaving room at the top to slip a gift card into!
