Skirt Flowers

With pink and a tapestry needle, make a few french knots in a cluster. With green make two longer diagonal lines and then smaller leaves coming off those lines.

Now you have a slit going down the middle to row 8.

From the middle corner of the slit, fold down as the collar of the jacket would be and glue the collar down.

Row 2-11: sc across (2 sc)

Row 12: Change to white, sc in the back loops only. Finish off and weave ends.

Glue the sleeved to the back of the jacket.

Finish and assembly: It is hard to see in the picture but make a few french knots going down the center of the jacket as buttons and sew a few horizontal lines as the pockets.

Lastly, make a few french knots with pink and two green lines as the flowers.

You can glue these appliqués to felt and then use them as decorations or glue them to a tote bag for a sweet gift bag! There are so many possibilities, I can’t wait to see what you make!
