YOU WILL NEED:

The stitches/ skills you will need to know and KEY:

  • Chain (ch)

  • Slip Stitch (sl st)

  • Single crochet (sc)

  • Magic ring

  • Weave ends and finish off.

Crochet Pattern

Main circle

Using raffia and a 3.5 hook, make a magic loop

Round 1: Work 8 sc into ring – 8 sc. Do not join, continue in a spiral.

Round 2: (2 sc) in each st — 16 sc

Round 3: [(2 sc) in next sc, sc in next sc]— 24 sts

Finish off and weave ends.

 

The fringe

Cut 4 small pieces of raffia (approximately 4 inches) sl st the pieces into four stitches next to one another in round 3. Cut the end of the fringe so it is short and even.

 

Top part of earrings

Using raffia and a 3.5 hook, make a magic loop

Round 1: Work 6 sc into ring – 6 sc. Finish off and weave ends.

 

Hot glue the earring post to the back of the top part of earrings.

 

Glue the cork fabric to the bottom part of earrings.

 

Join the top and bottom part with a connector ring. Use small scissors to pry open or use jewelry pliers/ small pliers.

 

Make two earrings and you are done!!
