Pattern

Using your felt and a pen, make the pieces of felt that you will glue the tree pieces to and that will make the slit for the card

Tree dimensions:

Bottom: 3.5 inches

From the middle of the bottom (1.75 inches) trace a line up 3.5 inches

Then make two lines meeting the bottom to the top to make a triangle

Trace the trunk off the bottom of the triangle, the truck should be .5 inches wide an .75 inches tall

Gift card slit: 2.75 inches by 1.25

Glue the gift card slit to one side of the felt

You will be making 7 separate pieces that will then be glue to the felt.

Piece 7 ( the bottom part of the tree) chain 10: sc in the second chain from the hook, sc, hdc, hdc, dc, hdc, hdc, sc, sc. 9 stitches, finish off and weave ends

Trunk: with brown and a 5mm crochet hook, chain 6, hdc in the third chain from the hook, hdc across. 4 hdc. Finish off and weave ends.

Ornaments: make 2-4 french knots on each of the 7 pieces

Assembly

Ornament String: with yarn or twine, cut an 8 inch piece and make a loop, glue the loop to the top of the tree
