4 medium weight yarn – I use Lion Brand shop HERE

5mm crochet hook – shop HERE

Cotton cord if you want to make an ornament
The stitches/ skills you will need to know and KEY:

Chain (ch)

Slip Stitch (sl st)

Single crochet (sc)

Weave ends and finish off.
Final Measurements: 5.5 x 4 inches
CROCHET PATTERN
The Diamond:
Foundation: With white and 5mm hook, chain 2, 2 sc in the second chain from the hook. Chain 1 and turn.
Row 1: 2 sc in each stitch – 4 sc
Row 2: 1 sc in each stitch – 4 sc
Row 3: 2 sc in first stitch, 1 sc in the next 2 stitches, 2 sc in the last stitch – 6 sc
Row 4: 1 sc in each stitch – 6 sc
Row 5: 2 sc in the first stitch, 1 sc in the next 4 stitches, 2 sc in the last stitch – 8 sc
Row 6: 1 sc in each stitch – 8 sc
Row 7: 2 sc in the first stitch, 1 sc in the next 6 stitches, 2 sc in the last stitch – 10 sc
Row 8: 1 sc in each stitch – 10 sc
Row 9: dec the first two stitches together, sc in the next 6 stitches, dec in the last two (8 sts)
Row 10: dec the first two stitches together, sc in the next 4 stitches, dec in the last two (6 sts)
Row 11: dec the first two stitches together, sc in the next 2 stitches, dec in the last two (4 sts)
Finish off and weave ends.
With gray attach with a single crochet to the last stitch in row 8, sc evenly going to row 1, make a chain 1 at the peak and then evenly crochet going up the other side.
The Ring: Using Chain Link
Chain 34: dc in the third chain from the hook, dc in the next 3 sts, increase by making 2 dc in the next stitch. Repeat ( 4 sc and 1 increase) all the way across.
Finish off and weave ends.
Once you have finished you can either sew or hot glue your ring to your desired surface like to felt with string for an ornament or place it right onto a tote bag. More details on the YouTube tutorial.
